ZS2EZ SATELLITE OPERATIONS PAGE 
ZS2EZ satellite antennas went up again in June 2007 after a lengthy break. Currently equipped with crossed yagis for 144MHz and 435MHz.
Satellite operation has formed a major part of my operations since 2003, and I currently have 79 DXCC entities worked via various satellites (most via the now-defunct AO-40 HEO satellite). Highlight on the LEO satellites has been working 3B9C on Rodriguez Island via FO-29 - one of only 4 stations to have worked this rare one on satellite! I was also the only South African station to work Anguilla on AO-40 when I logged VP2EAG (Drew KO4MA) back in June 2003.

HEO SATELLITE OPERATION
Currently no HEO satellites to work - patiently waiting for P3E to become a reality!!
LEO SATELLITE OPERATION
ZS2EZ is active on LEO satellites (AO-51, VU-52, FO-29 etc) using CAT control via SatPC32 software. SatPC32 by DK1TB is outstanding software that works seamlessly with the IC-910 and the EA4TX ARSWin controller system to make LEO satellite operation a breeze. Majority of LEO operation is on AO-51, as well as the ISS when crossband repeater mode enabled.
SUMBANDILASAT
Sumbandilasat is the second satellite with an amateur payload to be constructed in South Africa. (Sunsat was the first one!) Launch was expected to take place in June 2007, but has been persistently delayed due to administrative problems. More on Sumbandilasat can be found on the Amsat SA Website
